| Paul K. Hwang |
Paul is the token Asian of Charuba (as the last name isn’t enough to give that away!). Born in South Korea, he immigrated to the US at the age of 1. While in Philadelphia, Paul began violin lessons at the age of 4. After 9 years in Philly, Paul’s family moved to South Africa where he continued violin lessons for 3 years. Upon conclusion of his father’s Ph.D., Paul’s family moved back to South Korea. It was during his time in Korea that Paul lost interest in the violin. After a 4 year musical hiatus, Paul returned to the US and discovered the guitar while at college in 1993. Needless to say, the guitar received more attention than his studies. The following year, he purchased his first electric guitar and the rest is history.
