Ron started out playing classical piano, but in junior high discovered rock music. As a freshman in high school, he was introduced to his first synthesizer, an ARP Omni 2. For over two decades he has played keyboards in a variety of settings: as a choral accompanist, in pit orchestras, sitting in with local jazz combos, at Joe Louis Arena for the Detroit Red Wings, and even leading an 800-voice Gospel choir in worship for Detroit’s 300th birthday celebration.
Ron has worked for a number of local schools as an arranger and synthesizer programmer, and is currently in charge of the instrumental music at Grace Community Church. He was an original member of Sonlife, a singing group with Youth For Christ, and appeared with them on their album I Am Willing, as well as on stage at Masonic Auditorium in downtown Detroit. Recently he appeared as a guest musician on Bruce Bright’s debut CD Hold On, and performed and produced all the music for David Motley’s debut CD Just Me... No Nonsense.
